August 3, 2025 - Enjoying London

The full Woodland Chamber Singers group started with a narrated coach trip to the Tour of London. We saw the royal jewels and lots of nooks and crannies of the place. Then we boarded a big river tour boat for a trip up the Thames. After that we split up. I walked up to Trafalgar Square and then spent 3 hours or so in the National Gallery, an incredible art museum that’s free for everyone.   Then it was a walk back to the hotel through St James Park for the farewell dinner at Boisdale of Belgravia.

Lots of empty chairs at 4£ an hour.

Our tour guide referred to this as the Princess Diana memorial trip hazard walk because it’s so easy to trip over these markers.
